Moderation moderation moderation…. Allow one time per day for something sweet, ie chocolate, at a time when you will really crave it and just have one small piece, not a whole bar. Cut out crisps, pastries, butter cheese, and switch to low fat where possible, like diet flora, skimmed milk, ultra light mayonnaise and so on. Always leave 1/4 of what is on your plate and have a light lunch (like soup with one piece of bread/toast). Switch to wholemeal bread, pasta and cereal. Exercise as much as possible and keep it varied, exercise DVD one day and a fast walk the next. Keep focussed on how you will look if you persevere. Don’t make excuses and be disciplined!     You should first analyse how many calories you eat in a day. I have a friend who is trying to lose weight. He found that his energy went up conciderabley when he decreased his calories (he was eating more than he should have in the first place) and he split them up over many small meals thorugh out the day. Try to eat healthy (obviously), and excercise. Excercise could be something as simple as a 30 min walk durring lunch (if time permits it), or eve two short 15 min walks durring breaks. Don’t smoke, or eat excessive amounts of sugars. Cut out ALL sodas and sweet drinks. This will help. Get into some other sports with friends. My firned started to rock climb with me 1-3 hours a week. It’s helping!
