I’m 35 and kind of overweight. My friend suggested I should think about colon cleansing.

If you’re a typical american adult, I’m afraid you’re eating foods which by the time you’re 26 will require an complete and thorough colon cleanse. You didn’t state this in your questions, but do any of these sound familiar?

-Loss of energy
-Lack of mental focus and poor memory
-Unexplained headaches
-Bad breath and terrible smelling stools
-Constipation

These are all the symptoms I had when I was on the brink of colon cancer because of the terrible condition my colon was in. Take it from me, you don’t want to be there. You should do two things immediately because your health is in danger.
1.Check this immediately to see if you qualify for colon cleansing weight loss treatment and how it can help you:

2.Talk to your doctor. Don’t wait tomorrow, get an appointment for TODAY. This could be life threatening. I wish you good luck!!

Question by Mrs. Sushi: How does sugar free candy affect your health and weight loss?
Although sugar free candy is a healthier alternative than regular candy, can eating a few pieces a day be bad for your health? If consumed in moderate portions can it slow your weight loss progression?

Best answer:

Answer by gainesandburnes
No. Some will argue the ingredients cause other issues(cancer) but it is not going to stop you from losing weight. If the candy is high in fat than it will.

Question by persaunna: What do you know about ear stapling as a weight loss tool?
A girl here in the office said that it worked for her, but she is one of those people who could stand to gain a few pounds (imho). Anyone have any experience with these? -I’m not looking for a “magic weight loss bullet” but something to help that isn’t an addictive or otherwise harmful pill, mix, formula, etc. I have changed my eating habits and my exercise habits and the things I do for fun (like less TV). This was just suggested to me and I don’t know a lot about it, and was hoping someone out there had first hand experience.

IT IS RELATED TO ACUPRESSURE /ACUPUNCTURE. IT WAS QUITE A FAD IN THE LATE 70′S AROUND PSYCH LABS IN UNIVERSITY SETTINGS. YOU HAVE THE STAPLE PLACED( MORE LIKE SHOT) INTO THE INSIDE OF THE EAR, LEAVING THE EAR CHANNEL OPEN. AS YOU BECOME HUNGRY, YOU GENTLY MASSAGE IT STAPLE OR GIVE IT A LIGHT THUMP, AND YOUR HUNGER DISSIPATES! I HAVE NOT SEEN ANY IN YRS, BUT IT MIGHT COME BACK!

What do you think? Answer below!

The weight loss many people with advanced cancer experience may be caused by increased metabolism due to their disease, according to a study published in the International Journal of Cancer, (Vol. 93, No. 3: 380-383).

This means that it is especially important for patients with advanced cancer to increase their food intake to maintain body weight and optimize their health, say experts.

“We know that as the disease progresses, nutrition becomes a matter of concern,” says Terri Ades, RN, MS, AOCN, director of quality of life and health promotion strategy for the American Cancer Society (ACS). “Often patients are undernourished and lose weight, and we cannot fully explain why.”

In the study, Swedish researchers looked at food intake in almost 300 advanced cancer patients with solid tumors, age 30 to 90 years old. Participants kept a careful diary of everything they ate for four days. During that period, the research team measured the patients’ weight, weight loss, and resting metabolism.

More than 40% of these patients were 10% or more below their normal long-term weight levels, but this did not seem to be due to lower food intake. Almost half of them had an unusually high resting metabolic rate, but the people with high metabolisms didn’t seem to eat an extra amount of food.

“Usually when someone uses extra energy, they have a sense of hunger and eat more food, which provides the body with needed nutrients,” Ades says. “In this study, in this group of patients, that did not seem to happen.”

Question by taylorL: How do you not shrink down to nothing after having a weight loss surgery?
I was just wondering how you do not go to severely underweight after having a weight loss surgery. Because my moms friend got one and has become really skinny, so how do you stop losing weight once you have reached your goal weight?

Answer by ncblkgy
That’s a good question Lola.

Weight-loss surgery changes the anatomy of your digestive system to limit the amount of food you can eat and digest.
With her stomach pouch reduced to the size of a walnut, she has eat very small meals during the day. This alone can help a person loose weight. During the first year you are retraining your body and because you are eating different than you have been for the past 10-20-30 years your body looses so much weight very fast because it is burning off much of the fat and converting it to energy. After a year or 2 like most diets and weight loss attempts your body reaches its limit, it gets acustomed to the things you are doing and you will then stop loosing weight. At that point its all about working to keep it off and maintaining the new life style.

So the short answer to your question is the body will reach a plateau and stop loosing weight after about 2 years. At first everything is new and your body is burning the fat for energy because you are eating so much less than you normally do.
